Short CoursesThe Zambia Association of Pension Funds (ZAPF) is an association comprising of public and private pension fund managers, administrators, custodians,pension lawyers and other scheme advisors.
The Association was called Zambia Association of Pensions Fund Managers (ZAPFM) until September 2009 when it changed its name to Zambia Association of Pension Funds (ZAPF).
The change was necessitated by the desire of the association to expand its coverage in terms of membership. The category of membership is as follows; Corporate membership; Affiliate membership; Ordinary membership (open to all practitioners in the pensions industry); and Student membership.
In line with its new mandate, ZAPF signed a MoU with the Zambia College of Pensions and Insurance Trust (ZCPIT) to conduct various trainings to ZAPF membership among other objectives and goals.
ZCPIT is an education trust owned by the Pensions and Insurance Authority through the settlorship of the Pensions and Insurance Authority (PIA),the Zambia Association of Pension Funds (ZAPF), the Insurance Association of Zambia (IAZ),the Insurance Brokers Association Zambia (IBAZ) and the Insurance Institute of Zambia (IIZA).
Course Rationale
This is a ten(10)day intensive training programme designed to equip professionals in the Pensions Industry with essential skills and knowledge on how to administer and manage pension funds
After successful completion of the course,participants are expected to demonstrate competence in pensions administration and management.
The course is approved and endorsed by the Pensions and Insurance Authority (PIA) and ZAPF as basic qualification for individuals working in the pensions sector. The Programme is also designed as a Continuous Professional Development(CPD) programme for individuals working in pensions organizations. On successful completion of the course,participants will automatically gain one year membership to ZAPF.

In keeping with the guidelines provided by the Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ) through the Ministry of Health (MOH) due to the COVID-19 pandemic,this ten(10) day intensive training programme will be delivered online through webinar.
